Rolling hills frame this ground-floor lodge on a 31-acre countryside park, with views reaching towards the sea from the main living space. The open-plan kitchen, dining and lounge area is where most time gets spent—big enough for cooking proper meals with a gas hob and electric oven, with a dishwasher to deal with the aftermath. Sofas face the windows, and French doors open onto a private decked terrace with garden furniture, the kind of place where you'll linger over breakfast or evening drinks.

One bedroom has a double bed with an ensuite shower; the other has two singles, ideal for children or a second couple. The family bathroom has a bath with shower over it. Bed linen, towels, wi-fi and heating are all included. You get your own parking space and the whole place to yourselves. There's a pub within a mile if you don't fancy cooking one night.

Woolacombe beach is a short drive away with miles of sand for swimming and surfing. One dog is welcome. No smoking indoors.
