The Woodlands House Estate is a detached Victorian property with rooms across two floors and plenty of space to spread out. Ground floor has the main living area with a 75-inch Smart TV and piano, plus a separate dining room with Rayburn cooker, a well-equipped kitchen, and a utility room. Upstairs are four bedrooms: one with a zip-and-link super kingsize (convertible to twin singles), two with kingsize beds, and a fourth with a single. The bathroom features a freestanding cast-iron bath with shower over. The house sleeps seven.
Outside, the property sits on extensive grounds with both a raised enclosed area suitable for young children and dogs, and a main lawn for games and running about. There's a fire pit, BBQ, garden furniture, and outdoor games available. Parking fits three cars. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included; a travel cot and highchair are on hand for younger guests. One well-behaved dog is welcome. The house is a mile or so from the North Devon coast, in a quiet village setting. No smoking indoors.

The Woodlands was the perfect base to explore north Devon. The house was fantastic - it was beautifully clean, there was plenty of space for us (me, husband, 2yr old, grandparents and 3 dogs!) and it had all the amenities we needed and more! The garden was fabulous and we loved watching the birds every morning and evening. Saffron was an extremely responsive and generous host, getting in touch with personalised recommendations and clear instructions to check in. She left a very thoughtful welcome pack, which was so appreciated, especially by the dogs and toddler! Her hospitality made it incredibly easy to settle in and feel at home. We appreciated every detail, thank you.

My husband Reece and I came here as a last minute break either our 3 dogs. We had the warmest welcome from Saffron and Shelby. Beautiful eggs from their gorgeous fluffy hens and organic full cream milk from the farm down the road. Slept like kings in the comfy bed and shared a bath in huge decadent tub. Everything for your comfort and relaxation has been thought of here. The peace snd beauty of this hidden valley is hard to recommend enough. Go and visit for yourselves and you won’t be disappointed!

Woodlands house December stay Had a wonderful stay at Woodlands house during December 2025 Christmas with my partner, the house is gorgeous inside and out very spacious rooms full of character the views outside from all rooms were amazing you just couldn’t fault it (we did not want leave) also a beautiful two tiered spacious garden which was perfect though a bit chilly the nights sky were incredible. Everything was lovely and clean so 5 stars I just want to say a massive thank you to Saffron and Shelby, as after we spoke about missing Christmas whilst away from home they took it upon themselves to decorate the house for us ahead of arrival! We had a great time the level of service with everything else we would definitely stay again

Woodlands House is fantastic have already booked my next trip and this time I’m staying longer! Loved the house filled with charm and character and the grounds were beautiful and so great to be able to bring my friends dog - he had a ball! Loved coffee in the morning outside with all the birds and Saffron and Shelby were the perfect hosts - made us feel very welcome and gave us some great local tips - can’t wait to go back ❤️
