Middle Lee Farm- The Harrow

North Devon

Photo: Middle Lee Farm

Berrynarbor sits in a valley on the North Devon coast, a quiet village surrounded by pasture and meadow about a mile inland from the sea. Middle Lee Farm—The Harrow is a semi-detached cottage on a multi-property site with its own private terrace catching the sun from late morning through evening, and access to substantial shared grounds including a large open field, orchard, and children's play area.

The property sleeps four across a double bedroom and a twin on the lower ground floor, with a bathroom offering bath and shower. Upstairs, an open-plan living and dining room with a Smart TV overlooks the terrace, and the kitchen is equipped to cook properly—oven, hob, dishwasher and microwave. Essentials like heating, electricity, linen and towels are included, plus wi-fi and parking for two cars. A shared laundry room (washing machine, tumble dryer, freezer) is available to guests. One dog is welcome. The property does not permit smoking.

The surrounding area has coastal walks nearby, and the shared grounds offer space for children and dogs to explore—the owners keep Shetland ponies in an adjacent field. Berrynarbor itself is a working village rather than a resort, with local attractions within reach but the appeal here is the space and the easy access to the North Devon coastline.

Stayed in the Plough cottage, Craig and Lisa were very welcoming and showed us around. Great views of Berrynarbor Valley from the decking in the morning. Cottage is well provisioned with utensils etc. Lovely gardens and places to sit in the sun. Great walks to surrounding pu s and li al beaches. They were always there though help.

Lovely peaceful location. Great for dog owners as there are a couple of meadows you çan let your dog have a run. The rooms are absolutely spotless. Good size rooms. The hosts Lisa and Craig are lovely and full of local knowledge. Will definitely return.
