The Cow Shed is a renovated agricultural building with genuine character. Three bedrooms spread across two floors accommodate eight adults: a super kingsize with ensuite on the ground floor, a zip-and-link super kingsize (convertible to two singles) upstairs, a kingsize bedroom, and a sofa bed in the living room. Three bathrooms serve the property—one ensuite, one family bathroom with bath and shower, and a separate toilet. The whole place is yours alone.
The ground floor opens into a kitchen and dining space with vaulted ceilings and a central island, leading through French doors to an enclosed garden with patio, seating and barbecue. A wood burner warms the living area on cooler evenings, and the hot tub sits sheltered in the garden. Essentials including electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are covered. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking; a washing machine and dishwasher handle the practicalities. Private parking fits three cars. No smoking throughout.
The location suits groups and families wanting a self-contained base with easy access to Sheffield and the surrounding Derbyshire countryside. The enclosed garden and hot tub make it as appealing for quiet gatherings as for larger celebrations. A neighbouring property, The Milking Parlour, can be rented alongside this one if you need more space, with a connecting gate between the two gardens.

We had a lovely stay at Shady Hall Farm. The accommodation was very clean, comfortable, and child-friendly. The hot tub was a real bonus and made our stay even more enjoyable. It was easy to get to and conveniently located close enough to Sheffield, where we were attending a wedding. We would happily stay again and would definitely recommend it.

We had a lovely family week at the Stone Barn in early July. It is modern, very clean and extremely peaceful and scenic. At this price point, you'd be hard pushed to do better. It is family-run and they are super-responsive when you ask questions. They are genuinely dog-friendly too.

We recently stayed in The Stone Barn at Shady Hall Farm for three nights as a family and had a wonderful experience. The property was beautifully presented, spotlessly clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was well equipped, the beds were comfortable, and the living areas felt welcoming. We particularly appreciated the peaceful surroundings, the lovely enclosed garden and the relaxing hot tub. The location of the property was ideal for visiting nearby attractions, while still feeling like a countryside retreat. Communication from the hosts was very good throughout, and they were friendly, helpful, and responsive. Overall, The Stone Barn was a lovely place for a family getaway. We wouldn't hesitate to return and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and comfortable break.

We booked the Milking Parlour which had the most amazing scenic view from the back garden which was secure & safe for the dogs not to mention the best place for the hot tub!! This property is ideal for family 'get aways'.Our hosts were very accommodating of our needs & requests for extras eg cot,high chair. It is incredibly dog friendly too. The surrounding views are awesome and it's a very quiet & peaceful place to stay. A short drive out of the farm takes you to a variety of shops,supermarkets & eating places.
