About Ravencar Farm Bed and Breakfast

Step into one of the three rooms at Ravencar Farm Bed and Breakfast and you get a straightforward, comfortable base set within a converted barn, just outside Sheffield. The rooms keep things simple rather than lavish, with free WiFi throughout and drinks available in room, making this a no-fuss option for anyone wanting a rural break without the frills.

Beyond the bedrooms, the property has more going on than its size might suggest. There's a restaurant and bar on site, plus a snack bar and breakfast to start the day, along with a garden to sit out in. Guests can also make use of a gym, spa and sauna, and an indoor swimming pool, while meeting rooms and business services cater to those combining work with a stay. Laundry service, luggage storage and free on-site parking round out the practical side, and pets are welcome.

Horseriding is available for guests keen to make the most of the countryside setting, and the surrounding area offers pubs, restaurants and entertainment nearby for evenings out. It's a down-to-earth choice for those who want easy access to Sheffield without staying in the city itself.

We had a wonderful stay at Ravencar Farm and Helen was the highlight of it. Breakfast was absolutely delicious every morning and set us up perfectly for the day ahead. Helen went out of her way to recommend lovely spots to visit around the Peak District, and her suggestions were spot on. After a long day exploring, it was a real pleasure to come back and have a chat with her. She's one of those naturally warm people you just enjoy being around. Our dog was made to feel just as welcome as we were, treated with the same care and warmth we'd give him at home. It made such a difference being somewhere he could properly settle and relax alongside us. The room itself was beautifully comfortable, the bed was super cosy, and everything you could possibly need for a relaxing stay had been thought of. Helen never once asked us for a review, but we couldn't resist leaving one to make sure her lovely place becomes known to others who deserve to experience it too. We couldn't have asked for more. Thank you, Helen, for making our time here so memorable. We'll definitely be back. Gosia & Tom See you soon!

Where to start… absolutely beautiful in every way. Helen the host was the kindest, most attentive person with a lovely calming nature. As somebody staying on their own I felt extremely safe. Bed and pillows were lovely and comfy. Breakfast was gorgeous with a large selection and coffee was Devine. Not a single thing I could fault. I stay in the area every month for work and will definitely be returning.

My 4 year old grandson and myself had the most amazing stay at Ravencar farm. I have found my go to place to stay. Helen is an amazing host, so warm, welcoming and generous. She has a lovely calm and friendly nature and makes her guests feel comfortable and cared for. We had the most lovely full english breakfast and a very tasty homemade granola with fresh fruit and yoghurt, for the little ones she knows exactly what they like, pepper pig yoghurts and a variety of cereals. There are three beautiful horses at Ravencar farm and they are so friendly and calm they are called Ruby, Dougie and Bernie, we was able to stroke them and my grandson really enjoyed being so close to them. I'm going to book my next trip to Sheffield and I'm booking with Helen and her beautiful farm. Helen also gave me some of her gorgeous homemade strawberry fudge and as it was Easter time she gave my grandson a Easter egg, such a lovely lady.

This place feels like home rather than a Hotel or B&B. Helen is the heart and life of the place. She goes above and beyond to make the stay comfortable. She is an exceptional host that made the place feel closer to home than a B&B.
