The Stone Barn works well for families or groups of up to 8 who want space without feeling scattered across a property. The ground floor holds the main living area—an open-plan room with a woodburner, a well-fitted kitchen for cooking proper meals, and doors opening onto the garden and hot tub. Upstairs are three further bedrooms. Beds are arranged as zip-and-link kings or super kings that can be split into singles on request, with three bathrooms between them, so there's enough space that people don't queue for the shower.
The garden itself is enclosed and set back from neighbours, with decking, a patio with seating for eight, and a brick-built barbecue. The hot tub sits ready year-round and holds the full group. Inside, you get wifi, bed linen, towels, electricity and heating included; the kitchen has an oven, induction hob, dishwasher and washing machine. A travel cot and highchair are available if needed. Private parking fits four cars.
The setting is quiet and rural, within reach of Sheffield but far enough back that it feels genuinely removed. No smoking throughout the property.

We had a lovely stay at Shady Hall Farm. The accommodation was very clean, comfortable, and child-friendly. The hot tub was a real bonus and made our stay even more enjoyable. It was easy to get to and conveniently located close enough to Sheffield, where we were attending a wedding. We would happily stay again and would definitely recommend it.

We had a lovely family week at the Stone Barn in early July. It is modern, very clean and extremely peaceful and scenic. At this price point, you'd be hard pushed to do better. It is family-run and they are super-responsive when you ask questions. They are genuinely dog-friendly too.

We recently stayed in The Stone Barn at Shady Hall Farm for three nights as a family and had a wonderful experience. The property was beautifully presented, spotlessly clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was well equipped, the beds were comfortable, and the living areas felt welcoming. We particularly appreciated the peaceful surroundings, the lovely enclosed garden and the relaxing hot tub. The location of the property was ideal for visiting nearby attractions, while still feeling like a countryside retreat. Communication from the hosts was very good throughout, and they were friendly, helpful, and responsive. Overall, The Stone Barn was a lovely place for a family getaway. We wouldn't hesitate to return and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and comfortable break.

We booked the Milking Parlour which had the most amazing scenic view from the back garden which was secure & safe for the dogs not to mention the best place for the hot tub!! This property is ideal for family 'get aways'.Our hosts were very accommodating of our needs & requests for extras eg cot,high chair. It is incredibly dog friendly too. The surrounding views are awesome and it's a very quiet & peaceful place to stay. A short drive out of the farm takes you to a variety of shops,supermarkets & eating places.
