Matlock and the Derbyshire Peaks draw walkers and cyclists throughout the year, with Ashover village five miles away offering several pubs including one of England's oldest. Hall Leys Park in Matlock town has tennis courts, bowls, and boating. The Stables sits on a quiet country lane where you're more likely to encounter cows and horse riders than traffic.
The cottage spreads across three levels. Downstairs holds a kitchen with electric cooker, dishwasher and washing machine, dining space, and a mezzanine sitting area with a woodburner. The bedroom is on the lower ground floor with a kingsize bed and French doors opening onto a patio with garden furniture. An ensuite toilet is attached. Upstairs there's a shower room. A welcome pack, logs for the stove, wi-fi, and parking for two cars are included.
This is a detached property where you have the whole place to yourself. One dog is welcome. No smoking inside.
