Brick Kiln Barn Retreats - The Long Barn
North Norfolk
Photo: Google Maps
Rural North Norfolk puts you within reach of both coastline and waterways. The Long Barn sits on a quiet country drive, less than 7 miles from the sea and with direct access to Dilham Staithe at the bottom of the property—useful if you want to launch a kayak, canoe or small boat. Wayford Bridge, where day boats can be hired, is 3 miles away. The coastal towns nearby—Cromer, Sheringham, Cley, Blakeney and Wells-next-the-Sea—each have their own character, while Wroxham serves as the main hub for exploring the Broads themselves.
This converted barn sleeps 6 across three bedrooms: a king, another king, and two singles. Ground-floor living means one open-plan space with a kitchen equipped for proper cooking, dining area and sitting room with a large TV. Two bathrooms serve the bedrooms. Underfloor heating keeps things warm. Essentials like electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included. There's parking for two cars on the private drive, and an enclosed rear garden with furniture. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
The finish is considered—large showers, quality linens, heated towel rails—without being fussy. It suits families and couples wanting a comfortable base rather than roughing it, with the flexibility to explore locally or settle in for a quieter break.
