Rose Cottage

North Norfolk

View on Google Maps

Great Yarmouth's appeal lies beyond the seafront, in the quieter Broadland villages where narrow lanes connect working farmland, waterways and traditional cottages. Rose Cottage sits at the end of a row of three 17th-century properties in one such village, surrounded by the kind of Norfolk landscape that rewards cycling and slow exploration. A pub serving food stands 100 yards away, and a shop equally close; the sandy beach is five miles south.

The cottage has two bedrooms: a double on the ground floor and two single beds upstairs. There is one bathroom with a bath and shower cubicle. The living space includes a kitchen equipped for everyday cooking, a dining area, and a sitting room with Freeview TV and an electric woodburner for warmth. Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included. A quarter-acre enclosed garden with patio and furniture opens from the house, giving dogs and children room to move; private parking for one car is on site. The building has narrow stairs and a few steps at the entrance.

Within three miles you can find cycle hire, fishing, boat hire on the water trails, and Potter Heigham. Norwich lies 18 miles inland. The cottage does not permit smoking.
