The Old Stables sits on the fringe of Cley next the Sea, where the North Norfolk coast gives way to salt marshes and open countryside. This brick and flint cottage is a listed building on a private road, tucked away from the main village but close enough to reach its shingle beach by footpath. The area is designated for its natural beauty and draws serious birdwatchers, walkers and cyclists who need look no further than the doorstep for their next outing.
Everything happens on the ground floor. The living room has a woodburner (with initial fuel included) and a wood-beamed character; the kitchen/dining space is fitted with an electric cooker, dishwasher and washer dryer, with French doors opening onto a patio. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms serve five guests: a double ensuite, a bunk room, and a single. Bed linen, towels, wi-fi and electricity are all included. An enclosed rear garden with lawn, patio and furniture provides outdoor space; the property welcomes one pet.
Cley's visitor centre, cafes, galleries, deli and pub are within walking distance. Blakeney Quay lies ten minutes on foot. Non-smokers only. Note that the garden has steps and slopes.
