Built from a former stable block, The Old Stables retains period details—heavy beams and original flint and brick walls—alongside modern comfort and furnishings. The property sleeps four across two bedrooms: one with a king-size bed, the other with zip-and-link singles that can be pushed together. A bathroom with bath and shower serves both rooms, and there is a separate toilet on the ground floor.
The kitchen, equipped for full self-catering, opens onto an enclosed garden where a hot tub sits ready for evening use. A games room with table tennis and table football is available, and there's parking for two cars on the property. One dog stays free. Essentials including electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are covered in the rental. The building stands on the edge of the owners' working livery yard near Cromer, surrounded by Norfolk countryside, with The Links Country Park Hotel & Golf Club nearby.

We have just returned home from our second visit to The Old Stables. It really is superb. A complete home from home. Every home comfort is there and the decor is delightful. It is warm, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Exceptionally well equiped and the location is perfect. Close to beach, golf course country walks and bus routes and the station. The nearby anmal shelter is free to visit and a magnet for children.

Our fist stay in this excellent property, so well fitted out for a comfortable holiday, with good king size beds, super en-suite wet room, plus additional bathroom, and all you need. The quiet position, within walking distance of the beach and local places to eat was a bonus.

Have just spent a third holiday in this "little gem" in West Runton and love it more than ever.If you are looking for superb homely accommodation in a quiet position overlooking a village common look no further this is the one. There are plenty of interesting places to visit and numerous very good pubs and restaurants in this area plus the beaches and country parks. One of Norfolk's best places to stay I think.

A lovely return visit to the Old Stables. We came last summer and had such a great time that we decided to try a slightly off season Easter break. We were not disapointed. The house was just as good as we remembered with everything you could possibly need provided and we discovered some new local places like the Priory Maze Gardens (beautiful dog friendly gardens - lovely in the spring) as well as getting in lots of dog walks on the common surrounding the property and on the nearby West Runton beach. Will definitely be back for a third stay.
