Scalby Close Park Cottage is a bungalow built for practicality—everything on one floor, no stairs to navigate. It sits on the edge of Scarborough, close enough for a quick drive to the seafront attractions yet set back from the bustle. The whole property is yours alone, with private parking for three cars and a rear garden with patio and furniture.

Inside, you have three bedrooms (two doubles and one with twin singles) spread across the layout, two bathrooms plus a separate toilet, and living space that includes a lounge with a multi-fuel burner, a kitchen with electric oven and hob, a dining area, and a conservatory that catches the light. Bed linen, towels, heating, electricity and Wi-Fi are all included; fuel for the stove is provided to start you off. The kitchen is properly equipped for cooking proper meals rather than holiday shortcuts.

The property works for families and groups of friends who want to avoid stairs and appreciate having room to spread out. One dog travels free. No smoking indoors. Burnside Leisure Park is nearby if you want organised activities, though the coastal town itself and its attractions—from the Open Air Theatre to SEA LIFE—are all within reach by car.

Only stayed here one night for a gig so can't review the facilities but the site is well kept and toilets were always clean. New management since Nov and Stevie was friendly and made us feel very welcome. Would definitely stay at the site again.

Stayed at Scalby while going to Scarborough Open Air. We have a rooftent which the site had no problem with. Stevie in the office is very friendly and helpful, and the onsite staff are happy to stop and chat. After readig previous reviews, was a little unsure as to what to expect, but as we would only be staying for a night, booked it. The park has recently changed hands, so although we didn't stay under the previous ownership, I have to say that it's a great little site. Toilet and shower block, both clean and tidy, and a separate utility building with washer, dryer sinks etc. It's a 4 minute uber ride from Scarborough so the location is perfect, and we will definitely stay again. If you're after a smaller site, that has everything you would want from a larger site, then Scalby Close Park fits the bill.
