2 Swallowholm Cottages

2 Swallowholm Cottages is arranged the wrong way up—bedrooms on the ground floor, the main living space above. Walk in to find two bedrooms: one with a kingsize bed, the other with two singles. There is one bathroom with a shower over the bath and a heated towel rail. A travel cot, highchair and stairgate are available if you need them.

The first floor opens into one generous space combining living and dining areas with the kitchen. From here the windows frame views across the river and dale. A woodburner, large television with Freesat, and DVD player occupy the living end; the kitchen has an electric oven, induction hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge-freezer. A window seat makes a natural spot to settle with a book. Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are included, along with initial logs for the burner. One car can park on site; further spaces are available on the road.

The cottage sits on a working farm surrounded by open country, within reach of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Reeth and an 18th-century inn are roughly four miles away. No smoking is permitted inside. One well-behaved pet can stay free of charge.
