Abbey Field is a semi-detached house spread across two floors in Whitby town centre. Downstairs, the living and dining area has a 55-inch smart TV and opens onto the kitchen, which has everything needed for self-catering: electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and microwave. A separate toilet completes the ground floor. Upstairs are three bedrooms: two with kingsize beds and ensuite shower rooms (each with a 40-inch TV), and one with twin single beds served by a family bathroom with bath and overhead shower.
The enclosed garden includes a private hot tub for six, a terrace with garden furniture, and parking for two cars. Electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are provided. No smoking is permitted in the property.
Whitby itself is a working fishing port and historic coastal town, home to the famous abbey and the gothic heritage that inspired Bram Stoker's Dracula. The Goth Festival runs twice yearly, alongside folk festivals, regatta events and other gatherings. Local restaurants, pubs and tea rooms serve the cobbled streets alongside shops selling Whitby jet jewellery and independent retailers. Nearby unspoilt beaches include Staithes, Runswick Bay, Saltburn-by-the-Sea and Robin Hood's Bay, each with their own smuggling histories and coastal walks.
