Abbey View

North Yorkshire

View on Google Maps

Whitby's working harbour, three miles of beach, and the surrounding North York Moors make this part of the coast worth lingering over. Abbey View sits within easy reach of it all—a short walk downhill to the town's fish and chip shops, pubs, and independent shops, or a drive to Sandsend, Staithes, Runswick Bay and Robin Hoods Bay. The Esk Valley railway line runs nearby, offering connections through the moors to Middlesbrough; the North York Moors steam railway also departs from Whitby towards Pickering and Goathland.

The cottage itself is modern and set over two floors. Downstairs holds a double bedroom, a twin room, and a bathroom with shower over the bath. Upstairs, the living and dining space opens onto a kitchen equipped for proper cooking—electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher, and the usual appliances. A separate toilet is on this level too. Parking for one car is on site, with further spaces available on the street outside. The essentials—heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi—are all covered. A patio area with garden furniture overlooks the railway and abbey beyond.

The property is no-smoking. Families with young children should note that a cot and high chair can be arranged on request.
