Ammonite House spreads across three floors in Whitby's historic centre, a minute's walk from the seafront. The ground floor holds a combined living and dining space with a feature fireplace and Smart TV, opening onto a decked patio with seating. The kitchen is fully fitted for self-catering, with gas hob, electric oven, microwave, slow cooker and washer-dryer. Bed linen, towels, heating and wifi are all included.
Two double bedrooms and one twin room make up the sleeping accommodation. The first-floor double comes with a Freeview TV; the top-floor double sits under sloping ceilings with Velux windows and also has a TV. The single room is on the first floor. A single bathroom with bath and shower serves all three bedrooms. The property sleeps six and is yours alone for the duration of your stay. Travel cot and highchair are available. There is on-road parking and an enclosed garden.
Whitby sits on the Jurassic Coast, where ammonite fossils surface in the cliffs and shale beaches—the namesake for this house. The town's seafaring past runs deep: Vikings, smugglers and saints feature in its story. The Abbey, harbour and golden beach are all within easy reach on foot. The Railway Chippy is nearby if you want fish and chips rather than cooking. The top-floor bedroom is not suitable for children under eight due to the stairs.

My friends and I really enjoyed our stay in the Ammonite House. The place was clean and organized when we arrived. Caron was very responsive to our queries, even letting us leave our luggages before the check-in time. It was truly a place to stay at after a tiring day of exploring Whitby. Will definitely recommend!
