Anchor’s Away

Anchor's Away is a second-floor apartment sleeping four, equipped for self-catering with everything you need to settle in straight away. Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are all covered. The kitchen has an oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge, so you can cook properly or keep things simple. Both bedrooms have televisions; the first has a king bed, the second two singles. There's a shower room with separate toilet, and a living room with a 40-inch television and electric fire.

The apartment sits 700 yards from Filey beach, with four miles of sand that rarely feels crowded. The town itself has the character of an older seaside resort—independent shops, traditional attractions, a few restaurants and pubs within 300 yards. A pub is less than a mile away. The train station is a five-minute walk if you want to venture further; York is an hour's journey, and Bempton Cliffs (an RSPB sanctuary where puffins appear in spring) lies along the coast. One dog stays free. Smoking is not permitted. Street parking is available outside.
