Archway House

Archway House works well for families, couples or groups of friends wanting a base in a working market town. The three bedrooms sleep six, with one bathroom and a ground-floor cloakroom. Electricity, bed linen and towels are provided. No smoking.

The townhouse sits on a cobbled street in the town centre, near St Mary the Virgin and within a mile of a pub. Riverside walks, independent shops and the weekly market are on your doorstep; the Yorkshire Dales lie further out. Inside, high ceilings and period features give the rooms a sense of space. There's a kitchen overlooking the courtyard (well equipped for self-catering), a separate dining room with a big table, and an upstairs sitting room with an open fire. The south-facing courtyard is private and sunny, with a garden den that has comfortable seating and an electric fire for cooler months.
