Wren Lodge

Wren Lodge is a ground-floor property with everything on one level: an open-plan living and dining area, a kitchen for self-catering, two bedrooms (one double, one with singles), and a shower room. A verandah overlooks the countryside. The lodge stands on a small, quiet site with three other similar properties, three miles from Kirkbymoorside and Helmsley. A pub is less than a mile away, and a farm shop selling local produce is a similar distance. Parking for two cars is on site.

The North Yorkshire setting puts major attractions within reach: Rievaulx Abbey and Castle Howard are both close by, as is the North York Moors Steam Railway at Pickering. York's city centre—with the Minster, museums and shops—is 25 miles south. Scarborough's beaches and seafront lie 40 minutes' drive away. Locally there is fishing, golf and walking, and Helmsley itself has a castle and a seasonal outdoor swimming pool. One well-behaved pet stays free. Bed linen, towels and wi-fi are provided; electricity for heating is included. No smoking in the lodge.
