Newton-on-Rawcliffe sits deep in the North York Moors, four miles from Pickering's market, shops and the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. Bracken at Holly House is a two-bedroom stone cottage, completely renovated in 2024, positioned in the village centre with its own parking and a south-facing courtyard. The whole property is yours alone—no shared access, no other guests.
Ground-floor living means everything is on one level: an open-plan kitchen and sitting area (down two stone steps from the entrance) with two sofas and a picture window to the garden; a bedroom with a zip-and-link super kingsize bed that can split into singles; a second single bedroom; and a walk-in shower room. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking. Underfloor heating and an air source heat pump keep things warm. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included. There's a bike store if you want to explore the moors on two wheels, and an electric vehicle charging point if you're driving green.
This suits couples, solo travellers, or a parent with one child. The cottage doesn't allow smoking. Arrive after 3pm, leave before 10am.
