What a beautiful campsite! Owners go above and beyond. Pitches are spacious. Nice little dog walk through the woods. Showers and toilets are very clean and the shower water pressure is great! Would recommend to everyone!

Came here on the recommendation of an acquaintance, and as a very novice (and nervous) camper. The whole booking process and checking in was seamless, friendly and efficient. The owner was warm, informal and very helpful. There is a strict no noise policy after 10pm and the owners had set up waste disposal area, communal fridge and laundry facilities, washing up area and electric hook-up thoughtfully and with what was clearly a great deal of experience. However, they maintained a low profile - there if needed - and we never felt monitored or checked up on. Everything was beautifully maintained. The toilets and shower block were very clean and - this deserves five stars in itself - had lots of hooks for towels and clothes, as well as a little partitioned area with shelf in each shower cubicle (and more hooks) so towels and clothes could be hung up away from the wet. Superb. The location was peaceful, but within a 10-minute drive of Pickering for supplies etc. Wonderful; we will definitely be back.

Just back from a 5 night stay at Bank Top, our 2nd year visiting. We can't fault it, it's a quiet site in the middle of the moors. Yes, they have rules, clearly outlined on their website etc that it is quiet time between 10pm and 8am, which is perfect for us. Everyone's idea of a camping holiday is different, ours is quiet evenings and mornings - I appreciate that that's not everyones idea of a holiday, but it is our perfect holiday, hence booking a quiet site and returning again for a 2nd year! The showers and toilets are clean and the water is hot and consistent in the showers. We spent most of our days out and about exploring the local areas, returning some evenings after 8pm, to quietly chill and watch the darkenss roll in. I'd much rather listen to the owls and nightjars, and see the Milky Way lighting the sky than being on a noisy campsite. We bought honey from Iain and fresh eggs from Keren to bring home with us too. Paid £170 for 3 of us for 5 nights in a large tent, that includes 6kw per night of electricity. Plenty of space and parking is near your set up, no separate car park etc. We've had no problems at all. Planning our 2026 camp trip soon.
