Featherstone Cottage is a converted barn in Newton-upon-Rawcliffe, a village surrounded by walking and cycling routes across the North York Moors. The property comes with everything needed for a self-catering stay: heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are all provided, and the multi-fuel burner is supplied with fuel. One dog stays free of charge. The enclosed garden has seating and a barbecue, and there is parking for two cars on site.
The cottage sleeps ten across five bedrooms and three bathrooms. On the ground floor, a living room with Freeview TV and DVD player opens to a dining area and a well-equipped kitchen with a range cooker, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. One bedroom has a double bed and ensuite with spa bath and walk-in shower; a separate toilet serves the rest of the ground floor. Upstairs are four more bedrooms: a double with ensuite shower, another double, a twin, and a bunk room. A family bathroom with bath and shower completes the layout. A travel cot and highchair are available.
Pickering is four miles away, a market town with independent shops, pubs and restaurants, and the steam railway that runs through Goathland and the Esk Valley. The White Swan Inn is nearby in the village. Flamingo Land Theme Park and Zoo is ten miles distant.

Had a fantastic long weekend with 10 family members of varying ages, lovely well appointed rooms, immaculately clean with everything you could ever want provided. Highly recommended.

Perfect spot for a quiet family weekend, convenient for shops and takeaway food from Pickering but far enough away to feel quite remote. Cottage itself was spotlessly clean and very well equipped for 10 people. The owners were very helpful when we contacted them.

Fantastic place to stay, quiet village loads of walks in surrounding area and a pub 30 seconds walk. Also a great base to visit the rest of the North Yorkshire Moors and costal Villages.

How much enjoyed our stay here in particular the lovely pie that we cooked! Nice living room space with wood burning stoves, could do with a few more particulars thinking about in terms of the equipment of the kitchen eccetera.
