Captains Row - The Garden Apartment is a ground-floor space within a family home in Whitby, a working harbour town on the North Yorkshire coast. You arrive at your own entrance and step straight into a living and dining room where large windows frame views across the upper harbour. The dining table sits in a bay window, positioned to take in the water and boats below. A Victorian fireplace is one of the original features that remains. Beyond this is a compact kitchen with electric oven and hob, and a separate shower room. The bedroom holds a double bed; a travel cot can be arranged if needed.
Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are all covered. One parking space comes with the apartment, a genuine convenience in a town where spaces fill quickly during the season. A lawned garden with seating is shared with the owner, though you'll need to climb 11 steps to reach it. One dog or cat can stay at no extra cost.
Whitby itself is minutes away on foot—the cobbled streets, independent shops, fresh fish restaurants, the abbey, and sandy beach are all close by. The town's history runs from Viking raids through smugglers and lifeboats to James Cook, whose expeditions launched from here. The harbour remains the heart of the place, still busy with working boats alongside the leisure craft.
