Whitby's West Cliff holds independent shops, cafes and restaurants within moments of the street, and the harbour with its views and beach lies a short walk away. Endeavour Cottage occupies a quiet spot just off the main shopping drag, with dedicated parking on site and direct access to this lively part of town.
The cottage spreads across three floors. Ground level contains the open-plan living space—a single room combining kitchen, dining and sitting areas with an electric stove, dishwasher, and a smart TV—plus a courtyard with patio furniture and garden seating on two levels. Upstairs are three bedrooms with en suites or a bathroom: two single beds in one room, a double in another, and a kingsize on the top floor. All three bedrooms have their own shower room or bathroom. Essentials including heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are provided. The layout works well for families or groups who want to cook together and share a living space but need separate sleeping quarters.
The cottage is non-smoking throughout. A travel cot and highchair are available if needed.

Absolutely beautiful little gem of a place! So quirky! Ideal location. Only problem was parking a long walk from carpark to which we ended up with a parking ticket! Followed instructions wrong apparently 🙃 but other than that it was spot on. Lovely and clean and communication with owner was great quick responses to any questions. Even left some chocolate biscuits 😋 smelt lovely and clean on entering.key box outside to enter so that was great. Will definitely stay again! Just perfect 🥰

While the cottage benefited from a good location and was close to other family staying locally, this was unfortunately the only real highlight of our stay. The property itself fell short in several areas and did not provide the standard of accommodation we were expecting. The property was not clean or maintained to an acceptable standard on arrival. There was widespread mould in the bathroom and shower areas, dirt and debris behind furniture and along skirting boards, and visible grime on fixtures and fittings. The kitchen extractor and other surfaces were greasy and dusty, and the bathtub was dirty on arrival. The sofa bed was not suitable for sleeping and the mattress had to be placed directly on the floor. Only two towels were provided, which was inadequate. Overall, the accommodation did not match the listing description or basic cleanliness expectations, which significantly toned the stay down. This isn't something which could have been fixed while staying. Looking back on the reviews the plug is still dirty from June 2024

Stayed here for 2 nights a fantastic little cottage right in the heart of the town. Everything you need is on hand and so quiet. Can be hard to find as google maps puts you close and when we asked local shop owners they didn’t know (see picture for help). The stairs do take getting used to but manageable.

Filthy damp cottage, we stayed one night and then left and booked into a hotel. When we arrived the bedding hadn't been changed, dirty towels on the bathroom floor, no clean towels, No toilet roll either. Filthy tea towel, no reception on the TV.. When we phoned the owner to complain he was very rude and aggressive. Please don't be fooled by any "good reviews"
