Whitby spreads across the North Yorkshire coast below East Cliff, where Esk Cottage occupies a ground-floor position with views across the rooftops and the estuary toward the sea. The town itself draws visitors year-round—Whitby Abbey dominates the skyline, the cobbled streets fill with independent shops and galleries, and festivals punctuate the calendar from the Goth Weekend to Folk Festival and Regatta. Restaurants and traditional pubs line the waterfront and backstreets.
The cottage sleeps two in a king bedroom with ensuite shower. The ground floor is laid out as open plan: living space with a 40-inch smart TV and electric fire, dining area, and kitchen equipped for proper cooking with gas hob and oven, dishwasher, and everything else you need. Heating is gas central, and essentials including electricity, linen, towels and wifi are covered. An enclosed courtyard with terrace opens from the property, furnished and fitted with a BBQ.
The private hot tub sits on the decking and gazes out over Whitby toward the coast—the main draw of staying here. One car space is allocated for parking. No smoking inside the cottage.
