Fern Farm - Cart Shed works well for couples or anyone wanting a quiet base near the coast. This stone barn has been converted into a single space with a bedroom upstairs and a ground-floor living area beneath beamed ceilings. You get a kingsize bed, a modern kitchen with an electric oven and hob, and a shower room. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included. One dog stays free, and there is parking for one car on site.
The location sits between the North York Moors National Park and the Yorkshire coast. Whitby, with its historic streets, independent shops and seafood restaurants, is roughly 10 minutes' drive away. Robin Hood's Bay—a smaller village of cobbled lanes and harbour views—is even closer. A rear garden with a patio overlooks fields rolling towards the moors. The property does not permit smoking. Check-in is after 16:00 and checkout before 10:00.

Accommodation is nicely done out clearly recently, too. Immaculately clean & tidy on arrival with an easy check-in involving a short text message and a key-safe to gain access. Everything you need for a place to stay for visiting Scarborough, Whitby, Robin Hood's Bay, and surrounding area. Single living/kitchen area with sofa and smart tv. All pots, pans, etc, provided, also microwave and induction hob and oven. The bed is possibly the most comfortable I've slept on! Great sleep and all bedding provided. Bathroom, really nice shower - although, personally, I prefer stronger water pressure. Plenty of room, and the big surprise was under floor heating in here! Lovely if you get up during the night or on a cold morning. Outside, there's a small paved yard with a rattan table and two chairs. Ideal for a cuppa on sunny days. If you bring dogs - we brought 2 - there's a secure field for them to run around in, so nice and safe for them. . The Cart Shed is set back off the A171 road, which is quite busy, but I hardly noticed the traffic noiseThere isn't anything within short walking distance of here, which didn't bother us, preferring the self-catering aspect, and looking for some peace and quiet. Overall, this is a great place to stay if you want a base for visiting the area. It's on a working farm, though, wasn't noisy at all. I would easily recommend this property and would definitely revisit for a short break.

Great location for touring that coast line. Extremely well decorated and fitted out, spotlessly clean and better in reality than the photos show. Definitely recommend it.
