What visitors say
Haven't been here since 1987 when there with a school friend and family. Not impressed with the facilities, the toilets were not nice, yes they get cleaned daily but when you have to spend 10 mins cleaning the toilet before you even dare sit on it isn't great. The showers are push button and stay on for about 10 seconds so hard to get a decent shower even worse is the fact that the temperature of the water cannot be adjusted and it's hot enough to take off the top couple of layers of skin when you turn it on. Definitely not good for my eight year old. The best but was that it was quiet on the tent pitches. Was only there one night on a non electric tent pitch with a two man tent, ridiculously overpriced at £35 a night for that. Won't be staying here again.

We stopped off here to stamp our Coast2Coast passports, and enquired if there was a vacant pitch on the off chance. Luckily they're was, and I couldn't fault this place. Toilet block was well appointed and clean. Free WiFi in the bar and toilet block areas. All in all, a fantastic campsite!

What a brilliant site. We were staying in a camper van for the weekend. On arrival were greeted by a lovely, friendly , helpful young lady, who explained everything to us, advised on electricity usage and how we accessed the barrier. We had trouble with getting the mains set up and this time a friendly, helpful young man came to our rescue. The facilities are excellent and kept clean. My only suggestion is there is gravel or hard standing placed around the electricity plug in points az after the recent spell of bad weather the ground was incredibly slippy and muddy.

Nice site but facilities a little dated but clean. Ideal for using the bus service which runs from Scarborough all the way to Whitby every hour. One also runs inbetween from Scarborough up to Middlesbrough.
