Glossop Cottage

You enter Glossop Cottage into a generous open-plan space where high ceilings and large windows flood the room with light. Two sofas face a wood-fired stove set into exposed brick; the dining table sits within the same area, and the kitchen runs along one side, fitted with an electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher and the usual appliances. A utility room with washing machine and a separate toilet complete the ground floor. Doors lead out to a back patio with tap and hose for rinsing boots or paws.

Upstairs are three bedrooms across two floors. The first floor holds a double with ensuite shower and a kingsize with access to the family shower room. Up another flight, tucked under the eaves, sits a twin bedroom with two single beds. Electricity, gas central heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are included; the woodburner's initial fuel is provided too. One well-behaved dog stays free of charge. No smoking indoors.

Whitby itself lies a short walk away, with the harbour and coastal paths nearby. The cottage suits families or groups of up to six, and works equally well for a quieter break. On-road parking is available outside.
