Grange Farm Cottages - Riccal Heads
North Yorkshire
View on Google MapsRiccal Heads sits within the North York Moors National Park, one of two converted barns sharing a south-facing courtyard. The setting is rural and quiet, with views across Ryedale. Walking and cycling are immediate options; Hutton le Hole, home to the Ryedale Folk Museum, is a mile and a half away. Helmsley, ten miles south, has a weekly market, teashops and Duncombe Park. Dalby Forest's nine-mile scenic drive and visitor centre lie nearby, as does the North York Moors Steam Railway at Pickering, which runs to the coast at Whitby. Castle Howard, Rievaulx Abbey and the city of York are all within reach.
The cottage is on one level, built around an open-plan living space with French doors onto the garden. There is a kingsize bedroom with an ensuite shower, a second double, and a twin bedroom; a second bathroom has a bath with shower. The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking—electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave. Underfloor heating, electricity, wifi, bed linen and towels are included. A cot and high chair are available on request. The enclosed lawned garden has a patio, BBQ and furniture; you have private parking for three cars. One well-behaved pet stays free.
