This stone cottage sits a minute's walk from Scarborough's seafront, with the beach and harbour activity immediately outside. Built in the 1800s as a fisherman's home, it retains its original character while functioning as a self-contained property for six people. The ground floor contains a living room with an open fire and a kitchen/dining room where the nautical theme—brass fittings, porthole windows—reflects the building's past. A door from the kitchen opens onto an enclosed patio, a genuine advantage for somewhere so close to the town centre.
Upstairs, the first floor holds a bathroom with bath and shower, plus the principal bedroom with a kingsize bed. The second floor has a double and a twin room under the eaves. Essentials are covered: electricity, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are included, and the kitchen is properly equipped for cooking—oven, hob, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave. One dog stays free. Non-smoking only.
Scarborough itself is the draw: the promenade runs past your door, restaurants and bars line the seafront, and the castle ruins sit on the cliff opposite. The Open-Air Theatre hosts performances in summer, boat trips leave from the marina, and the SEA LIFE Centre occupies the seafront too. There is a public car park 30 yards away, charged at the usual rate. The King Richard III is nearby if you want to venture inland.
