The Anchor

North Yorkshire

View on Google Maps

Built in 1712, The Anchor is a listed property in Scarborough's old town, recently renovated while keeping original features—exposed beams and reclaimed ship timbers among them. The house spreads across three floors, sleeping eight across four bedrooms: two kingsize doubles and two twin rooms with single beds. There are two bathrooms, one en-suite to a twin. A games room on the second floor comes with a console. On the ground floor, the living space has a woodburner, and the kitchen is fitted for actual cooking, with an oven, hob, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. One small dog stays free of charge.

An enclosed courtyard with garden furniture provides outdoor space. Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included. There is on-road parking, and the whole property is yours alone. No smoking is permitted. The location puts you near Scarborough Castle and the town's attractions, with independent shops and restaurants within walking distance.
