Higgledy Hideout
North Yorkshire
Higgledy Hideout occupies a 300-year-old coach house in the heart of Thornton-le-Dale village, where a cobbled courtyard and original beams signal its heritage. The conversion has retained character without sacrificing comfort: upstairs is a generous open-plan living and dining space, separate kitchen, and the family bathroom with both freestanding bath and shower; the ground floor holds two bedrooms, one with its own en-suite; a third bedroom on the top floor sits under vaulted ceilings. The property sleeps five across these three bedrooms.
The kitchen is fully fitted for cooking, with everything from electric oven to dishwasher. All bedrooms have quality mattresses and cotton bedding provided. Wi-Fi, heating, electricity, linen and towels are all covered; you just need to bring groceries and yourselves. One well-behaved pet stays at no extra cost. The village has cafés, independent shops, a chocolatier, and a pub within walking distance, so there's little need for the car most days—though public parking is available nearby. No smoking inside, and the whole place is yours alone.
