High Peak House – Beacon is a one-bedroom property in Ravenscar, a few miles from Scarborough on the Yorkshire Coast. Couples and small families will find it suits a quiet break away from busier seaside towns. The whole place is yours alone, with a double bedroom upstairs and a bathroom with bath and shower. Downstairs is an open-plan living space that combines the kitchen, dining area and sitting room, plus a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer.
The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge-freezer, so you can cook properly or keep things simple. A Smart TV is in the living area if you want to watch something in the evening. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and electricity are all included. There's a patio and lawned garden at the front where you can sit outside, and private parking for one car on the property itself. Dogs stay free and are genuinely welcome here.
Ravenscar sits on the edge of the North York Moors with coastal footpaths nearby, including stretches of the Cleveland Way along the cliff tops. The Cinder Track runs between Whitby and Scarborough if you want a longer walk. The property is non-smoking.

Outstanding place - even if its on fire! (Wildfires over in the moors by Whitby, a good 8-10 miles away so no immediate danger), great (but hilly!) walks, lovely countryside, the national trust rangers were great. The cottage has a fantastic kitchen and licing area with a log fire, nice big dining table, rooms were fairly spacious and the beds were really comfy. Had some issues with hot water, you need to set it to "boost mode" about 45 minutes in advance of taking a shower or its cold water only - taps ran warm though for handwashing not sure why. So you are aware there is no air fryer which is pretty standard kit nowadays, luckily we bought our own. Bit far out of the way but thats a good thing if your trying to get away from it all. Access down to the building is a short but pretty steep hill. Strongly recommend this place its great.
