🏡 Self-Catering Cottage

The Yorkshireman

North Yorkshire

The Yorkshireman is a ground-floor bungalow in Ravenscar, on the North Yorkshire coast between Whitby and Scarborough. Everything you need for a self-catering stay is provided: electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are all included, along with a welcome pack. The kitchen has an electric oven, hob and microwave, so you can cook properly rather than making do. There's a 43-inch smart TV with Freesat in the living room, and an electric woodburner for colder evenings.

Two bedrooms sleep three: one with a double bed, one with a single, both on the ground floor alongside the wet room with walk-in shower. Outside, an enclosed courtyard with patio and garden furniture sits to the side of the property, catching sun for most of the day. Parking for one car is on site. The bungalow is next to the owners' home, so this is a private rental rather than a shared space.

Ravenscar stands on a dramatic headland within the North York Moors National Park. The Cleveland Way passes close by, offering access to 109 miles of moorland and coastal walking. Robin Hood's Bay and the old Cinder Track, a former railway route from Scarborough to Whitby now converted to a flat walking path, are both within reach. No smoking indoors.
