Hilltop Barn
North Yorkshire
Hilltop Barn is a stone-built conversion in Starbotton, a quiet village deep in the Yorkshire Dales. When you arrive, you step into a thoughtful layout: the ground floor holds two bedrooms with ensuite showers, a utility room with washer and tumble dryer, and a third bedroom. Upstairs, the main living space opens onto a balcony through French doors, with views across the surrounding farmland. A kitchen/dining room and a separate study complete the first floor.
The three bedrooms sleep six. Two have king beds and smart TVs; one has twin singles. All three bathrooms are ensuite or shared. Downstairs you'll find a wood-burning stove, a DVD player, Nintendo Wii and smart speaker for entertainment. The kitchen is fully equipped—electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave and coffee machine mean you can cook proper meals. Wifi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are included. Outside there's a lawned garden with two patios, garden furniture and a barbecue, plus parking for three cars. One dog is welcome if kept on a lead—the surrounding fields are working farmland.
The Dales Way footpath runs nearby, and walks range from riverside strolls to a steep climb up Buckden Pike. The village of Grassington, a few miles away, has shops, pubs and cafés, along with an arts festival in summer and a Dickensian festival in winter. Skipton market town is further out, known for its castle and cobbled high street. There's a pub within a mile of the barn. No smoking.
