You enter Johnson Cottage straight into rooms made for living in. The ground floor holds a sitting room with a woodburner and smart TV, opening into a kitchen and dining area where the countryside comes into view through the windows. Upstairs are two bedrooms—a double and a room with both a three-quarter double and a single—and a bathroom with bath and shower. The whole cottage is yours alone, with heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi all included.
The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge-freezer, microwave and coffee machine, so you can cook as much or as little as you want. At the back, an enclosed garden with patio and seating faces open fields. One dog or cat can stay free, though sheep graze nearby so pets need to be kept on a lead. Smoking is not permitted inside.
Carperby is small and quiet, with The Wheatsheaf Inn within walking distance. The cottage sits close enough to the Yorkshire Dales to make it a base for exploring without needing to drive far each time. Parking is on the road outside.
