Lilac Cottage

Lilac Cottage is a two-bedroom, one-bathroom stone house that sleeps four, set on the edge of Sedbusk in North Yorkshire. The layout is straightforward: downstairs holds the living room with an open fire, a kitchen and dining area with a full range of appliances including a dishwasher, and a utility room with a washing machine. Upstairs are two bedrooms – one with a double bed, one with two singles that zip together – and a bathroom with both a bath and shower cubicle.

The cottage comes with parking for one car on site, and a bike store for exploring the surrounding area. One dog stays free. Wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels are all provided, and you can request a cot and highchair if needed. The garden is a real feature, with sitting areas, furniture and a barbecue, though there are steps down to reach it. A pub is within a mile, and the market town of Hawes – with shops, restaurants and the famous Creamery – sits just over a mile away. No smoking inside.
