One bedroom has a double bed (4ft 6in), the other two singles. The cottage sits within the grounds of Stilliington Mill, adjacent to the River Foss, with a pond on the property itself and another in the shared grounds—good to know if you're visiting with young children.

You get parking for two cars on site, and the enclosed garden has furniture and a barbecue for sitting outside. Electric heating, wi-fi, bed linen and towels are included. A short walk takes you into the village, where there's a shop, post office, two pubs, fish and chip shop and Indian takeaway. For walking and cycling, the Howardian Hills are close by. Stately homes at Castle Howard and Nunnington Hall, the ruins at Rievaulx Abbey, and family attractions like Flamingoland are all within reasonable distance. York is 20 minutes' drive away. The property is non-smoking.
