Mill House

Mill House dates to 1781 and retains the character of a listed building within the Hawnby Estate, though it has been comprehensively updated. The property sits on the edge of the North York Moors, with the River Rye running through its grounds. Eight guests can stay across four bedrooms, each with its own bathroom—two doubles and two twin rooms with flexible sleeping arrangements. A games room on the ground floor, separate from the main living spaces, contains a pool table, dartboard and table tennis.

The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, with electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave and washing machine among the appliances. The living and dining area has an open fire; heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are all included. Outside, the lawned garden runs down to the river and includes a private hot tub, patio with furniture and a barbecue. The river frontage is unfenced, so families with young children or pets should supervise accordingly. One dog stays free; the property has parking for two cars. Hawnby Stores and Tea Room is within walking distance. No smoking inside.
