Murmuration Cottage
North Yorkshire
Whitby's tight-packed streets and harbourside draw visitors for the Abbey, the Gothic architecture, and the Goth Weekender that takes over each year. Murmuration Cottage sits tucked away on Rose and Crown Yard, just off the main drag but within reach of everything on foot. The property spreads across three floors: kitchen and bathroom at ground level, living room on the first, and two double bedrooms on the second. Sloping floors run throughout, and six steps lead up to the entrance.
The kitchen has what you need to cook properly—electric oven, hob, microwave and washing machine. Upstairs, the living room has a television and electric fire for cooler evenings. Bed linen, towels, electricity and Wi-Fi are included. A shared courtyard provides outdoor space, and parking is arranged via a permit for one car; overflow parking is available on nearby public car parks. The cottage does not permit smoking.
This location works as a base for exploring beyond Whitby too. The North York Moors National Park and the Yorkshire Heritage Coast are accessible for day trips, and the Cleveland Way runs along the coast for walking. A pub sits within a mile. One dog is welcome to stay.
