Nelson's Cottage is a character property built from stone, positioned on the main road through Burton in Lonsdale, a village known locally as the last in Yorkshire. The cottage retains period features including a wood-burning stove in the lounge and tiled floors with rugs, creating a traditional feel throughout the ground floor. Three bedrooms occupy the first floor, sleeping up to five guests in total: a double bed, a zip-and-link twin setup, and a single room. A bathroom with corner bath and shower sits on the ground floor alongside the kitchen and dining area.
The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, with two electric ovens, ceramic hob, dishwasher and all the essentials for cooking. Electricity, heating from the wood-burning stove with an initial log supply, bed linen and towels are included. Wi-Fi is available throughout. You have the run of the entire property with no other guests, and a travel cot and high chair are available if needed.
Out back is an enclosed courtyard with garden furniture and a barbecue, plus an outhouse with freezer. The village has a community-owned shop and pub within walking distance. On-road parking is available nearby. The cottage does not permit smoking. Children are well catered for with the enclosed outdoor space and bike storage.
