Everything happens in one open-plan room with vaulted ceilings, exposed beams and stonework, warmed by a woodburner. A Jacuzzi bath with shower is the focal point of the bathroom; the kitchen has an electric oven, hob, dishwasher and washer-dryer for self-catering. Double bed sleeps two, and the whole place is yours alone.

Beyond the cottage, 1½ acres of grounds include a duck pond, sitting-out areas and a barbecue. The property shares use of an 18-metre heated indoor swimming pool (depth 1.2m), a gym and steam room with aromatics, plus an external games room with snooker table and board games. Parking for one car is on site; wifi, bed linen, towels and logs for the stove are included. No smoking. The property is not suitable for children or those with mobility difficulties.
