This barn conversion retains its stone character while offering modern comfort. Stone steps lead to the first-floor entrance, where an open-plan living space combines kitchen, dining and sitting areas. The ground floor holds two bedrooms – one with a double bed, one with two singles – and a shower room with heated towel rail. Underfloor heating keeps the ground floor warm; the rest uses central heating. You get a full kitchen with double electric oven and induction hob, so cooking for the group is straightforward. Bed linen and towels come as standard.
The barn sits on a working farm in Wensleydale within the Yorkshire Dales National Park, with Skellgill Beck nearby. Stone walls and moorland surround the property, though the villages of Askrigg and Bainbridge are only about a mile away, and Hawes – home to the Wensleydale Creamery – is a short drive. One dog can stay free, though it must be kept on a lead as the farm is active with livestock and working sheepdogs. The property is yours alone for the duration of your stay. No smoking inside.
