Ravenscar sits on the North Yorkshire coast between two of the region's most visited towns, yet feels removed from the seaside bustle. The village overlooks dramatic cliffs, rocky inlets and a seal colony on the beach below. On clear days the white cliffs near Flamborough are visible along the coastline. Smugglers Rock House is a stone-built Georgian property from the 1840s, set back from the village with a gravelled driveway and space for six cars.
The house has seven bedrooms and seven bathrooms—each bedroom with its own en-suite—spread across three floors. Five rooms have double beds (some with four-poster frames), one has a double and a single, and one has two singles. All have television. The ground floor contains a living room and a kitchen with a breakfast bar, range cooker, dishwasher and French doors opening onto a patio. The garden includes picnic benches and furniture for looking out over the coast. Essentials including heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are covered. The property can accommodate up to 14 people and is yours alone for the duration of your stay. Smoking is not permitted.
The house suits large groups—extended families, groups of friends—wanting self-catering space on the Yorkshire coast without the crowds of Whitby or Scarborough close by. There is bike storage on site and an electric vehicle charging point available at cost.

Very well equipped cottage that ticks the "drop dead" box for me - ie a decent shower. It's a little compact in the kitchen, but probably fine for a family of four. The living room upstairs spans the whole of the cottage, so is massive.

Really lovely cottage with great views from the front, plenty of parking. Very quiet surroundings but in easy reach to Whitby, Scarborough, North York Moors Robin Hoods Bay and plenty of walking including easy access to Cleveland way
