Stable Cottage is a two-bedroom ground-floor property sleeping four, positioned within reach of two major family attractions—Forbidden Corner and Lightwater Valley—along with the market towns of Hawes and Leyburn, Bolton Castle, the Black Sheep Brewery and Wensleydale Creamery. The village itself has a pub serving food within walking distance, a shop, and direct access onto the open moors and fells that make the Dales so rewarding for walkers.

The accommodation comprises a living and dining room with a woodburner, a kitchen equipped for proper cooking, one double bedroom and one with twin singles, and a bathroom with bath and shower. Bed linen, towels and wifi are provided; heating is oil-fired central. There is a washing machine and tumble dryer on site, and private parking. One dog stays free of charge. The grounds include a courtyard, a two-acre garden with furniture and a barbecue, and access to a five-acre paddock with fishing; these are shared with other holiday properties. An unfenced river runs through the paddock and there is a pond on the grounds.

Loved our stay at Stable cottage. It really is a home from home! It's was so comfortable and cosy. The house is very well equipped. The location is a great base and alot of things to see and visit near by. Really friendly locals and so many gorgeous walks. We will definitely be back to stay!

This visit was a Christmas and Birthday treat as a surprise, I can truly say it was very nice. The hot tub was great and everything in the cottage was very well catered for. We ate out most of the time and it was near enough to get to look at some lovely places. Would go back here but probably in warmer time due to ages of my husband and myself.

Fabulous cottage just a mile or so away from the market town of Leyburn. 3 great sized bedrooms and comfortable living spaces. The hot tub was a hit with all the family.

This is our second stay at the cottage and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Lucy has gone above and beyond in every aspect of our stay. Visited with family and my two little dogs everyone of us loved the place. Lovely area and there are so many things to see and do within a 10 minute drive for all ages. Thank you for another perfect stay!
