Between Richmond and Barnard Castle, North Yorkshire's rolling landscape surrounds Sykelands Cottage, a converted barn on grounds shared with Sykelands Grange. The property is single-storey, so everything—living space, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom—sits on one level. You get a double-ended bath with shower, an ensuite, a bedroom with super king-size bed, and a living room with dining area and well-equipped kitchen where you can cook properly. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included; there's private parking for two cars outside.
The cottage feels designed for relaxation. A private hot tub sits in the garden, which is enclosed and furnished for sitting out. Inside, original A-frame beams and full-height ceilings give the rooms genuine character. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, dishwasher and microwave—everything needed for self-catering. A bike store is on hand if you want to explore the countryside. Note that there is a pond in the grounds, 55 yards from the property. Smoking is not permitted. A travel cot and highchair are available on request.
