Sylverda

Sylverda is a one-bedroom bungalow on the edge of Scarborough, a short walk from the seafront. Everything is on the ground floor: a living room with a wood-burning stove and DVD player, a separate dining room, and a kitchen with electric oven and gas hob for cooking proper meals. The bedroom has a king-size bed, and there's a shower room. Electricity, bed linen and towels are provided, along with heating. A single car can park on-site.

The large fenced garden—a genuine selling point for dog owners—has a patio, seating area and lawn. Four steps lead from the living space to the back door. The bungalow is in a cul-de-sac near the owners' home; panoramic windows at the front face towards the coast. Scarborough's promenade, South Bay and castle are moments away. The quieter North Bay, Filey and Bridlington lie within easy driving distance, as do the North Yorkshire Moors, Pickering's steam railway to Whitby and York. Bempton Cliffs RSPB reserve, where puffins and seals can be spotted, is a few minutes' drive south. Adults only; no children under 18.
