The Bay - Sandy Bay Beach House

The North Yorkshire coast near Filey draws families back year after year, and The Bay – a holiday park with its own facilities – sits within easy reach of over four miles of sandy beach. Sandy Bay Beach House is a detached lodge on the grounds, sleeping four across two bedrooms, each with its own ensuite bathroom. Everything is on the ground floor, with the main living space arranged as an open plan kitchen, dining and sitting area that opens onto a private veranda with garden furniture.

The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking – oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge-freezer are all there. The first bedroom has a zip-and-link super kingsize (or two singles on request) with an ensuite shower room; the second has a kingsize bed, a smart TV with Netflix, and its own walk-in shower. Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included. One dog can come free of charge.

The park itself has a heated indoor swimming pool open 8am to 8:30pm, plus a gym, sauna, steam room and tennis court. During summer there are children's activities on offer (face painting, mini discos, archery – small charges apply). A pub and café are on-site. A short walk from the house takes you down to the beach, which is flat and wide, ideal for sandcastles and dogs alike. The property does not permit smoking.
