The Granary Cottages - Elm Cottage

Whitby is two minutes' drive away, yet Elm Cottage sits in genuine countryside within the North York Moors National Park. The property is one of four converted barns on a working farm, with its own parking and direct access to walking trails that wind through rolling hills where deer and pheasants are regular sights. The coast is equally close, making it straightforward to combine beach time with rural exploration.

The ground floor is open plan—a single space for living, dining and cooking with large glass doors opening onto a lawned garden that slopes down to a pond. Upstairs are two bedrooms: one with a kingsize bed, one with two single beds, plus a bathroom with shower over the bath. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a dishwasher, and everything needed to cook proper meals. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are included. There is parking for two cars on site, and electric vehicle charging is available.
