The Lookout Penthouse, Scarborough

The Lookout Penthouse works well for families, groups of friends or couples after a proper coastal break. This third and fourth-floor apartment sits high on the Scarborough cliffside, giving it sweeping views across the bay and a balcony where you can catch the sea air throughout the day. There's space for up to six people with three bedrooms, each with its own en-suite shower room, and two also fitted with baths. One bedroom has a super king bed; the other two can be arranged as super kings or twins on request. A dog is welcome here.

The open-plan living area combines kitchen, dining and sitting space, opening onto the balcony—useful for both cooking together and lingering outside on good days. Essentials like electricity, wi-fi, bed linen and towels are included. Parking is on site. The Cleveland Way is within walking distance if you fancy clifftop walks, and Scarborough itself offers the usual seaside mix: beaches, theatres, a waterpark and the harbour. The North York Moors, Whitby, York and various market towns are manageable day trips. Smoking is not permitted in the property. Check-in is after 16:00 and you'll need to leave by 10:00.
